Beyond Beer
Making a business we're proud of is just as important as making a beer we're proud of.
Everyone at Freestar wants to be proud of the impact the business leaves behind - both on our community and on our planet - and although we've made a good start, we're looking for ways to do better all the time. It starts with our pioneering production process which - after 2 years and nearly 400 recipes - emits 50% less CO2, uses 60% less energy, 75% less water and ends up with 40% less waste. We're super proud of those stats!
We work really hard to maintain that level of good vibes across the whole business and be as transparent as we can about everything we get up to. We'll be publishing our B Corp scores regularly so you can see exactly how we're doing across the business. Mentoring
Freestar is all about championing the next generation and the fact is 2020 has created a huge youth unemployment crisis. In response, we've partnered with our friends The People - a youth powered consultancy - to create a Mentoring Hotline to help young people struggling to find work with anything from CV help, career advice or interview preparation.
Collectively we have been lucky enough to have had some amazing professional experiences and so we're taking calls from anyone young and unemployed every Friday afternoon. Click below to find out how to sign up. ↙
Street Elite
In 2021 we will be partnering with the incredible charity Street Elite. Street Elite is an award-winning training for work programme which engages young people aged 18 – 25 affected by serious youth crime through sport, helping them transition from NEET (not in education, employment or training) into work, apprenticeships, training or education opportunities. We're still building out our programme of support and will keep this page updated as we finalise plans.
